About  Charles Steelman
After graduating with a BA in Fine Arts from USAO in Chickasha, serving in the Army as a cartographer (map maker) during the Vietnam era, and obtaining a masters degree in art from UCO, Charles Steelman has spent most of his adult life as a free-lance graphic designer in the Oklahoma City area. After semi-retiring, he returned to one of his early loves, painting. With encouragement of family and friends, he began showing his work in arts festivals and other venues in Oklahoma and Texas about 6 years ago. He and his wife, Gail, have 2 married children and 6 perfect grandchildren. They live in Oklahoma City with 2 hard-working cats who carefully supervise all of Charles' artistic endeavors.
